My guess is DSR is going to be a little slower than actually running on 1440p because there is no 1440p to 1080p scaling to be performed - the render output is directly going to the display. So Im even wondering if the game even supports DSR. Also somethings may be appear alot smaller like in the link (notice the minimap and skill bar became increasingly smaller)TL;DRNative is always preferred, just like A true quadcore is better than a hyperthreaded dualcore cpu. I know I can make a little money back from selling my 770, but even then it's still a hefty price. You may have to tweak the DSR settings a bit to find what looks best for you.
